Wildlife belongs in the wild. When they can’t be returned to the wild, they deserve the highest quality welfare we can provide them in captivity. This means regular enrichment that encourages natural behaviors and keeps the animals healthy both mentally and physically. Shelter, food, medicine and entertainment, just like humans, animals require and deserve these basic needs for a healthy, safe and fun life. Each month, in addition to utility bills, habitat maintenance and building maintenance, the animals who live at sanctuaries require over 1000 pounds of meat weekly, $2,000 a month for medicines and veterinary care, $200 per week for produce, $50 for eggs, the list goes on… Without the thoughtfulness and generosity of donors and the animal advocate community, the level of care the animals receive at GreenWildlLife Sanctuary would not be possible.We direct all our funds to provide animals the basic amenities and care.
